Following my first ever posting yesterday as a newbie and now being promoted to the major league I wonder if any of you experts out there can help. Despite my best efforts and the guidance of one kind soul who tried to help I still cannot get the wretched perspex fuse box cover off my 2003 Galaxy TDI Ghia 130PS. Now I am no expert but I am also not stupid (well I think so but my wife questions that thought sometimes) but try as I may it will not come off! Any sensible suggestions would be much appreciated. - santefe999

A stick of TNT......................

Seriously, I've just looked at mine. What a job, however, get as many fingers as you can under the bottom lip of the cover and pull hard, it does only clip on. Watch your knuckles, says he with finger stuck in mouth......

Yeah. Wondered if it was a brute force job but I am scared of pulling he whole dash out! I'll give it a try in the morning when I can see what I am doing. Why is nothing simple?

Is it this fusebox? fusebox

Because i am having the same problem, need to get to fuse 7 for the lighter, but why make things easy when they can be nice and difficult?

Before i loose my knuckles just making sure this is the same fusebox, any help would be appreciated.

From experience I had an a very nice AA man rapidly turn into a foaming at the mouth rabid monkey trying to get that f'in thing off!! From his experience brute force and then insert offending item in the nearest bin!!! (As if its like the one on my alhambra the graphics on it are in the wrong place anyway!!!

I need to lie down now after remembering that incident!...

Ah, im not alone in my dispair....

This is my mothers car, she is 62 years old, you would thing that changing a fuse would be a task any car owner would be able to do, but i guess Ford needed a laugh.

Thank you for your reply, i guess ill be bringing out the toolbox to destroy this useless piece of plastic.
